INDEPENDENCE, Ky. – WWE wrestling superstar John Cena sure knows how to make a dream come true – twice.
While 21-year-old Brittany Depew has been battling terminal cancer, her big wish has been to meet Cena. He already sang “Happy Birthday” to her in a video message, but he bettered that Tuesday when his big motorcoach rolled up her street in Independence.
Cena brought gifts for Depew – including a few more of his ‘Never Give Up” T-shirts that she already wears. But we’re guessing nothing was better than the big hugs he gave her.
Depew recently reached out to Cena on Twitter with a sign saying, “My leukemia is past the stage of being cured.”
Two weeks ago, Cena sent her birthday greetings.
Depew is battling acute lymphoblastic leukemia a third time, according to her Facebook page..
Depew, who has Down syndrome, won homecoming queen at Simon Kenton High School last fall and she recently graduated.
But we’re guessing today’s meeting with Cena is No. 1 on her list.
